FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Flat Roof Pros do only flat roofs?
Nope! We specialize in pitched roofs as well. We say most roofs are flat; it all depends on the angle you're looking at them.
What if something new comes up during the roofing project?
If we find any surprises during construction, we’ll inform you and work together to choose the next step. A change order will be created to adjust to the project after the issues are explained and understood by both parties and options are talked and agreed upon.
What should I expect working with Flat Roof Pros?
When working with Flat Roof Pros, you can expect a strong commitment to quality, timely project completion, and clear communication. Our team values professionalism and takes pride in delivering peace of mind throughout the roofing process.
We pride ourselves on finishing projects on time and within budget while keeping the lines of communication open. You’ll work with a friendly and dedicated team that truly cares about the job, ensuring you feel confident and at ease every step of the way.
How do I know it’s time to fix my roof?
Keep an eye out for signs such as leaks, missing or damaged shingles, sagging or uneven areas, granules in gutters, visible wear and tear, increased energy bills, and the age of the roof. If you notice any of these indications, it's time to give us a call.
What material is best for my roof?
Choosing the best roofing material depends on factors like longevity, pitch, cost, and climate:
For Low-Pitched Roofs
Silicone: Silicone coatings offer excellent waterproofing and UV protection, restoring the life of your roof.
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin): TPO membranes are lightweight, energy-efficient, and highly resistant to tears, punctures, and chemicals.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): PVC roofing is durable, resistant to fire and chemicals, and provides excellent energy efficiency.
Torch-down: Torch-down roofing consists of layers of modified bitumen applied with a torch, providing excellent waterproofing and durability.
3/12 Pitch and Up Roofs ONLY
Shingles: Asphalt shingles are affordable, versatile, and come in various styles and colors to suit your aesthetic preferences.
Metal roofs: The tough, stylish armor perfect for ultimate protection and energy efficiency.
Tile and shake roofs: Heavy, stylish, and longer-lasting roof protection that comes in many different forms and aesthetic looks.
How do I know what service my roof needs?
Restoration: Ideal for roofs that show signs of wear but remain structurally sound. Restoration can extend the life of your roof by adding protective coatings or repairs, delaying the need for a full replacement.
Replacement: Recommended for roofs with severe damage, structural issues, or advanced aging. If your roof has widespread leaks, sagging, or other major concerns, a full replacement ensures lasting protection.
Repairs: Best for addressing minor issues such as small leaks, missing shingles, or isolated damage. Targeted repairs are effective for preserving roof integrity and preventing issues from worsening.
Regular Maintenance: Essential for all roofs, regular maintenance involves cleaning, inspections, and minor fixes that help prevent costly problems and extend roof lifespan.
Scheduling an inspection is the best way to get personalized recommendations based on your roof’s condition!

How long do projects take?
Project timelines vary based on the size, complexity, and scope of the job. Small repairs can often be completed in a day, while full roof replacements typically take a few days to a week.
However, factors such as weather conditions, material availability, and change orders can impact the schedule. We’ll provide a clear timeline with your estimate and keep you updated throughout the process.
Is summer the only time to replace my roof?
Summer is typically the busiest and most expensive time to have your roof done. While it carries the least risk of water leaks, it comes with higher prices. The best and most cost-effective time to schedule your roofing project is during the winter season.
During this time, manufacturers, suppliers, and roofing contractors often offer discounts due to improved product and crew availability. That said, we provide a solid insurance policy to ensure that our clients are covered in case any issues or emergencies arise during the winter.
Please note that not all roofing projects can begin in the winter season. Contact us, and we’ll be happy to explain your options and the next steps to take.
